On Saturday 6th June 2026, we took to the stage for The Breakin’ Convention at Blackpool Grand Theatre- representing our town, our people, and the culture that shapes us. Our piece, Under One Beat, co-choreographed by Ini and Aish, explored identity, belonging and the tension between fitting in and staying true to yourself. Blackpool has a long and proud relationship with Breakin’ Convention, the world-renowned hip hop dance theatre festival. The Grand Theatre first welcomed the convention in 2014, with further unforgettable performances in 2016 and 2017. A show was planned for 2020 but sadly cancelled due to the pandemic.
