Blackpool Style Assembly 2025: Collaboration, Creativity and Conscious Fashion

Updated: 13 hours ago

The Blackpool Style Assembly 2025 was a celebration of community, sustainability, and creativity. Hosted at House of Wingz, the event transformed the space into a multi-room catwalk, where small brands and local artists came together to showcase the power of slow fashion and conscious consumption.

This second edition of the Style Assembly brought together an inspiring lineup of collaborators: Aysh De Belle, Northern Tide, Herbrand, Crafty Cloth, Allura Ibiza, Luv Me Again, and The ADHDAF Emporium. Alongside these designers, audiences were treated to dynamic dance performances by Orson Crane and Charlie Ratcliffe, and a thought-provoking short documentary by 3 Soul Media- about what the style assembly is, and how House of Wingz plan to use the event to change the game for creativity in Blackpool. The event also raised funds for ADHDAF+, shining a spotlight on neurodivergent artists and makers.

Each runway carried its own unique energy- from the atmosphere of a club night to the intimacy of a wedding. One standout moment came from Luv Me Again Studio, whose reimagined vintage bridal gowns brought new life to old treasures. Models Franlin and Inimfon walked down the aisle to Sweet Disposition by Temper Trap, setting a romantic tone before bursting into a high-energy afro dance number. It was a performance that embodied both sustainability and joy, leaving the audience deeply moved.

The evening then shifted into activism, as the ADHDAF Leopard Print Army took to the catwalk in protest. Their powerful performance highlighted the urgent need for better education and support around neurodivergent brains, and the ongoing struggles many face in accessing ADHD diagnosis and treatment in the UK.

The Style Assembly proved that fashion can be more than aesthetics- it can be a force for good. By blending artistry, activism, and sustainability, the event reminded us that conscious choices in consumption matter, and that creativity can drive real change.

We caught up with some of our senior team, Inimfon and Frank, to chat about their experience of the style assembly. Here is what they had to say:

What are your thoughts on style assembly?

Frank: Style assembly is more than a fashion show because it brings together fashion, performance and story telling.

Ini: It's very refreshing and it's not as rigid as every other fashion show you will see out there. With style assembly it's very unique in the sense that it gives you different areas and different feels, because like frank said it doesn't just deal with fashion, you have the performance you have the poetry, there are so many things you can experience and so many things you can get our of it.

What was your involvement in the event?

Frank: Our involvement was as models, dancers and choreographers for the wedding concept and also for the Northern tide show. We worked closely with the team to bring the designs to life through movement, ensuring that we worked a dance that would compliment the designs. We used the music and dance to to express the emotions behind the pieces we were wearing, so that the audience could really connect with the concept of the wedding on a deeper level.

Ini: I also modelled for Herbrand. I did a lot of artistic movement there and i modelled for Aysh's collection, then i did the wedding scene for Luv me Again where i modelled but Frank and I also danced together in this show. It was a lot of variety for me as a performer between the different shows.

How did you choreograph the wedding?

Ini: The wedding scene was a very unique and lovely scene- that was one of my favourite moments within the event, not just because it was a wedding scene, but just because it was very unique. The choreography for us, was about trying to bring something very refreshing, something lively and something engaging for the audience, because we had to find a way to get the audience involved in the wedding. We looked back through our archieve as a duo and chose one of our existing routines where we were touching and intimate, and we added some more contect to make it fit the theme of the show. It went down amazing, some people were crying so i think we definitely created the emotion.

Frank: We also considered the style, the energy and also the look, we had to consider that when creating the routine. The choreography was designed to enhance the story of the show, helping the emotions of the moment to come through while still showcasing the fashion. We wanted to be dynamic and add what makes us Ini and Iconic, to give the audienece our vibe and let them know who we are. And that's why we added the afro dance. It was very different from whatv we have done before. The whole show was very collaborative and intentional and pushed us to be creative in a new way

Ini: I have never seen a fashion show like the style assembly, the ability to move the audience from one space to another and each space has a different atmosphere, a different team, a different energy, it helps the audience to transcend space and time.

How would you like to be involved in future events?

Frank: We would like to continue to choreograph and collaborate creatively and we would love to help develop concepts from early stages to the finish product- the show that the audience will see and ensure that our visions come to pass and that people feel motivated by us, we would love to be a part of that future and the creative direction, mentoring local talent.

Ini: I hope that we can continue to be a part of the event and we hope it gets bigger and that as it grows, that we are able to draw more people in, we feel like this an event that the world needs to see and that it needs a bigger platform. We need more fashion events like this because most fashion events feel a bit more rigid. I know there is always a concept but most of the time we hope to be a part of the whole process and that we can help to grow the event. Blackpool is the foundation and it's a place where this opportunity has been given to us, but i think that the world needs to see what Blackpool's creatives are made of.

Looking ahead, the journey continues: a youth-led Style Assembly will take place on 28th February 2026 as part of Blackpool’s Creative Fusion initiative, embedding youth leadership into the town's creative scene. And on Saturday 30th May 2026, the Style Assembly will return in full scale, promising even more collaborative, innovation, and inspiration.
